Ayaviri, July 19 - Familiar with the intense cold that the Andean population suffer this time of the year, the workers of the Central Reserve Bank of Peru successfully carried out the “Give me a Coat” campaign, in which they collected 2000 coats donated to the Prelature of Ayaviri. They are being distributed in orphanages and in the most needy populations of the provinces of Melgar, Sandi and Carabaya.
As is well known, these months are the coldest of the year, reaching temperatures of 20 degrees below zero. These gestures of solidarity express the concern of many people for those most in need.
The following populations and institutions are beneficiaries of the
campaign:
In the province of Melgar: “Casa Caná” and María Auxiliadora orphanages in Ayaviri, “Sarepta Wasi” orphanage in Nuñoa, “Soncco Wasi” orphanage in Ayaviri, villagers of the parishes of Macari, Santa Rosa, Orurillo, Umachiri and the rural community of Ayaviri.
In the province of Carabaya the beneficiaries are the parishes of Ajoyani, Corani, Macusani, Usicayos,Crucero, Ayapata, Coasa, Tambillo, Antauta, San Gabán and Ollachea.
In the province of Sandia Phara, Limbani, Patambuco, Cuyo - Cuyo, Masiapo, San Juan del Oro and Sandia parishes are the beneficiaries.
