Ayaviri, September 18 - The Church of Ayaviri celebrated the birth in faith of over 100 children and young people who received the Sacrament of Baptism on Saturday September 16. The city's cathedral was packed with parents, godparents, and family members of these new Catholics who are already preparing to receive the Sacraments of the Eucharist (First Communion) and Confirmation.
These children and young people had been waiting for this moment all year. The parents and godparents have also received the formation necessary in order to accompany their children and godchildren in the Christian life they have now begun. Fr. Eduardo Carbajal, who presided the celebration, had to be helped by other ministers in order to administrate the Sacrament.
