News - Prelature of Ayaviri - Bishop and Clergy of our Prelature begin Spiritual Exercises

Ayaviri, November 9 - The priests and deacons of our Prelature put aside their habitual pastoral work in order to have and intense encounter with the Lord Jesus in the Spiritual Exercises which begin on November 7 and span until the 10th. The exercises will be constituted by the daily celebration of the Eucharist, personal and communitary prayer, spiritual lectures, reflections and dialogues, in which our clergy will be strengthened spiritually for the pastoral work of the new liturgical year that will soon begin.

Just as Christ prepared Himself spiritually for his mission in the desert for 40 days, the Church, following his example, also dedicates some days so that her members who are consecrated to pastoral care can be renewed and strengthened in their mission. Priests who carry out their apostolate in the provinces of Melgar, Carabaya and Sandia will gather together in the Santa Luisa de Chilina Retreat House in Arequipa and ask for prayers for the fruits of the retreat.
